Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary: This Sanctuary is situated at an altitude of 1,400 mts in the Western Ghats near Pollachi (about 50 Kms). The area of the sanctuary is 958 sq.kms. It has various kinds of fauna like elephant, gaur, tiger, panther, sloth-bear, deer, wild bear, wild dog, porcupine, flying squirrel, jackal, pangolin, civet cat and birds like rocket-tailed drongo, red-whiskered bulbul, black headed oriole, tree pie, spotted dove, green pigeon, etc.

Aaliyar Dam Aliyar Dam is a small reservoir located 27 KM away from pollachi on the foothills of Valparai, in the Anamalai range of the Western Ghats. The dam offers some ideal getaways including a park, an aquarium and a mini Theme-Park maintained by Tamilnadu Fisheries Corporation.

Amaravathy Reservoir. There is a crocodiles bank near the dam. It is about 45 kms from Pollachi. There are also many places of scenic beauty such as Karainshola, Anaikunthiashola, grass hills, waterfalls, groves, teak forests, estates, dams and reservoirs.

Topslip: It is a picturesque location in the Anamalai Hills. It is about 37 kms from Pollachi. This small town is an ideal picnic spot. Arrangements are available at Topslip to take tourists around the Sanctuary on elephant back or by van.

Thirumoorthy Dam & Temple: It is situated at the foot of Thiru moorthy Hills adjoining the Thirumoorthy Dam. This is about 45 kms from Pollachi. A perennial stream flows by the side of the Sri Amaralingeswarar temple and nearby there is a waterfalls.

Siruvani Waterfalls This waterfalls and the dam are located at a distance of 65 kms from Pollachi .The water of siruvani is known for its taste. It is said to be the second tastiest water in the world. (taste not in terms of sweet!!!????). The waterfalls and the dam are located at a distance of 37 kms west of Coimbatore ity. The water of Siruvani is known for its taste. The Panoramic View of the dam and the falls is enchanting with beauty.

Parambikulam – Aliyar Multipurpose Project: This project consists of a series af dams interconnected by tunnels and canals at various elevation in order to harness the Parambikulam, Aliyar, Nirar, Sholiyar, Thunkadavu, Thenkkadi and Palar rivers, laid for irrigation and power generation. The scheme is an outstanding example of engineering skill. It is located in Anamalai range.

Indra Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary the largest and well preserved sanctuary lies in the Western Ghats 35 Km from Pollachi. With an area of 958 sq.KM, it is rich in flora and fauna is home for tigers, elephants, Nilgiri tahrs (known as ibex), panthers, wild boars, gaurs, spotted deer, bears, porcupines and many species of birds. It is unlikely to see very much wildlife in this park, but the park is a pleasant place to visit. This protected area constitutes the most important watershed for the agricultural economy and power supply. Major reservoirs like Parambikulam, Aliyar, Thirumurthi, Upper Aliyar, Kadambarai, Sholayar and Amaravathi are fed by the perennial rivers which originate from the Sanctuary.

Valparai Popularly known as Cherrapunji of South India, Valparai remains somewhat untouched by much of tourism and related pollution. It has an average elevation of 1193 metres (3914 feet) and is located 65 km away from Pollachi. It is concentrated with Tea and Coffee estates owned mostly by private tea companies, a large part of the area is out of bounds for tourists. Interestingly, the Govt. of Tamil Nadu with the assistance of the Govt. of India has taken initiatives to promote tourism and develop infrastructure such as hotels, amusement parks etc to attract visitors.

Monkey Falls Monkey Falls is located at the 29th km junction on the Pollachi-Valparai road.

Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" in South India is around 120 KM from Pollachi. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain TOY train journey on a ratchet and pinion track from Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens.

Munnar an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Kerala is 110 KM from Polalchi. Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests. It's the place you would love to visit.

Kodaikanal is one of the most popular hill resorts in India. It is a charming hill station, stands amidst sylvan beauty on the southern crest of the upper Palani Hills 110 KM from Pollachi. Kodaikannal is situated at an altitude of about 2,133-m high and covers an area of 21.45-sq-km. The hill town is renowned for its educational institutions of international repute. The hill-plantain fruits and plums are known for their freshness and taste. Berijam lake, one among the beautiful lakes of South India, spreads over an area of 24 hectares.
